The Surah takes its name from verse 9, where the word Taghābun appears, meaning “mutual loss and gain” or “mutual disillusionment.” This refers to the Day of Judgement, where people will realize the truth of their losses and gains—whether in belief, actions, or worldly priorities.

- Everything in the heavens and earth glorifies Allah.
