Theme: The Struggle Against the Self (Jihad al-Nafs)
Verse: “And as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.” (Quran 79:40, 79:41)
Prayer : O my Lord, my own self is often my greatest enemy. Grant me the strength to struggle against my lower desires and inclinations for Your sake. Help me to purify my soul so that I may be worthy of Your Paradise.
